Whole Wide … Tick Tock grab those glasses and hit that city . It is so easy to be captured by the glitz, glamour and fun, we often forget to put our safety in check. I know we want to be life of party . If want be all that and safe . Here are 10 Safety Tips for your first SOLO travel .

1.When to turn on and off locations !

Romeo, Romeo, where are thy Romeo? You should always keep your location on if you’re travelling . Besides the obvious , you should keep it on for when you experience the unexpected. Turn it off when you’re plane.

2.Understanding of international and regional law!

The Law can be a friend or foe. It can also be lifeguard if you should your drowning the hidden fees, rules and other interest rates. Both big and small laws can affect the way you experience travel. Like a box of chocolate , you don’t know what you’re getting. So it is important to read the fine print carefully. Before you join the other side.

3. Who should you inform about your whereabouts?

You can’t held the truth! Um… that depends on who needs to be in the know. Family? Absolutely. Friends? Definitely. Boss? Of course! Partners/ Spouses? Hundred percent. Anyone else, debate it ?

4. When you SHOULD Lie ?

Lair, Lair , pants on fire! I’m not calling you a liar , but I’m not calling a truther either. Before you get mad, there is occasion to lie. This includes where you stay on your travel, who you are staying with, why you’re there (unless you’re dealing with TSA). This is important especially when going Solo cause you never know who is friend or foe ?

5.Understand your rights with your destination country!

Not every right is a size fit all. It is a dependent on you and your passport . You got to fight for your right when pull comes to shove when it. Advocacy is evaluation.

6.Street smart or Book Smart? Why not do Both? Understanding the Current the economy and culture.

Money Sense or common sense? why not have both. Just the wave that changes with tides. The economy and culture often changes depending on the current . Inflation or recession shouldn’t affect How we can travel without knowing the inside and outs of destination country

7. Transportation Security.

To drive or not to Drive? That is question. For some it best to drive when travelling alone . You’re the one in control, alone and you don’t have be “with people”. What a dream right? For others it’s best to travel by Train or bus. You get to have mini chit chats with strangers, you won’t worry about the expense of gas unless it’s a Uber, it also saves you time jumping from plane to plane to get the greatest gateway you want.

8. Find Your Herd among Your Solo!

Join that facebook Travel Group, DM that Instagram bestie and whatever you need to find your herd and do the things you want without the fear and judgement of being alone . FOMO, never heard of her. Go out there make some you friends or don’t. At least you find a new hobby to come to when you’re back from your vacation.

9 . Check in with your mental health/ Cleanliness!

All board, please pass your pass. It’s time to check in with yourself. Before you get wrecked, or you’re about to be . It’s important to check in with mental health and cleanness. This includes your mental and physical luggage . If you got to carry those wipes, bring those books you love to read to get the best care while you’re out in the world.

10. Plan for accommodation/food/activities and Beyond

Who says that planning isn’t fun. Things happen. We will need to change and adapt If we experience a fallout. So expect the unexpected and plan accordingly.
